Next Step

Hello All!

As many of you know, I’m a college student who (like most) has no idea what they’re doing with their life.

I know I’m not alone in this, but I can’t help but get down on myself every now and then. BUT I do not want to let this define who I am. I’m so astounded by all of the possibilities life has to offer. It’s actually quite overwhelming if you think about it. So I thought it’d be fun to do something a little interactive tonight. Down below I’m going to list some options for what I should do after I graduate next May, and I would love for people to share their opinion on what they think would be fun. Please let me know if you have done any of these things, or if you have an idea that’s not on the list!!! Also, if you have any experience in or know of cities that would be good for my career path, drop them in the comments!

(P.S. my degree will be in Hospitality Management and Tourism – Event Coordinating)

Thanks in advance for the help! This should be fun!!

So here are some options I’m looking at right now:

•Going straight into the workforce staying in my current city to save some money, network, and start paying off some loans (bleh)

•Go somewhere and teach english or do missionary work for a year!

•Try to land a job in a European city and explore others during off time

•Au pair!! I’ve heard very mixed reviews about different experiences

Like I said, please share your thoughts, especially if you’ve done one of these things!

And please comment more ideas!!

Welcome to life with lex!

Hello and welcome to my lifestyle blog! I can’t wait to get to know every single one of you!

All throughout college I’ve waited and waited for this moment. I continued to push it off over and over again, finding excuses such as, “my life isn’t interesting enough” or “I don’t really have time.” I finally realized that if I never took the first step, my dream would never come true.

So, let me introduce myself! I’m Alexis, 22. I’m a student at the University of Kentucky. My major is Hospitality Management and Tourism, and I work part-time at a Hilton hotel. I am involved in church and a campus ministry. I love love love makeup and skin care! A fun fact about me is that I once drove to Canada with my best friend on a whim and we slept in a van in downtown Toronto for two nights!

I can’t wait to connect with you all through fashion, faith, beauty and everyday life!
